Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago seeks a supervisory leader for the Cash Services Department to oversee currency handling, unit operations, and staff performance. You will manage multiple units, ensure timely processing, and drive process improvements while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include staff development, training, and ensuring adherence to governing procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of related work experience.
Prior experience in Operations/Production management.
Relevant coursework in operations, business, computers and/or accounting.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and independent thinking.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel; IT systems knowledge.
Ability to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

Supervises a staff of direct reports, coordinators and operations personnel in the Cash Services Department.
Schedules and assigns daily work and monitors operations per procedures and deadlines.
Coordinates workflow, solves operational problems and delegates tasks.
Leads staff meetings and monitors quality and productivity.
Recommends programs to improve quality and efficiency.
Coaches and mentors staff and participates in employee training.
Assists in staff development and performance evaluations.
