The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking a seasoned Cash Manager in Detroit to lead night shift operations and manage the Cash Services Department. You will develop staffing plans, ensure policy compliance, and partner with other units to meet budget targets.

You will direct long-term resources, coach staff, monitor daily cash processing, and drive performance improvements while maintaining high security standards and reliable service for financial institutions and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience managing direct reports and overseeing functional units.
• Strong business acumen and leadership competencies.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work extended hours.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee night shift operations and coordinate across shifts.
• Manage Cash Services Department operations under the Cash Services Officer.
• Ensure staffing and training to support business needs.
• Develop, plan, and organize resources to meet goals and budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within controlled environments and valuables handling areas.
• Coordinate staffing decisions, including salary adjustments, promotions, and training.
• Support plans to improve quality, productivity, and service levels based on standards.
• Monitor daily activities including receipt, processing, shipping, and destruction of currency and coin.
• Resolve operational problems and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain communication with external entities and other Bank departments.
• Apply governing procedures including Custody Control Standards and related manuals.
• Plan staffing needs and develop staff for depth and capacity.
• Counsel staff on performance and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate to develop operating and capital budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Develop coaching plans and learning opportunities.
