Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a friendly, guest-oriented Cashier/Guest Service Clerk to provide fast, pleasant checkout experiences and to support front-end operations in a retail setting. You will perform cash-related duties, process guest orders, and help ensure no-noticeable wait times for customers.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for long periods, and work well with others. Training and development opportunities are available in a team-focused store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and 15 lbs. constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of front end operations.

Responsibilities

• Sales, Cash and Invoice Accounting: Prepare weekly cash reports and documentation; maintain sales related information; process invoices and transfers; process beer/wine payments.
• Cash Related Activities: Prepare bank deposits; assist cashier with duties; payroll check approval/cashing; ensure accurate daily cash count; assist guests with money orders, stamps, lottery tickets, etc.
• Cash Office Security: Ensure security of cash office and store funds; maintain cashier till accountability; maintain supplies.
• Cashier/Guest Service Clerk Performance Reports: Monitor Operator Activity Report; perform audits; maintain daily front-end schedule.
• Process guest orders to ensure No Noticeable Wait policy is followed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
