Job summary

Family Fare is seeking a part-time associate to manage all phases of the store's cash office operations with accuracy and efficiency. You will support cashiers, ensure policy compliance, handle transactions, balance cash, and safeguard financial information.

Responsibilities include cash handling, internal audits, and following safety and guest experience guidelines. Prioritize confidentiality and be adaptable to other store tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and balancing.
• Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in transactions and records.
• Basic computer skills including email and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Observe strict confidentiality of all company records and financial information.
• Support front-end activities to ensure cashiers follow store policies.
• Follow policies pertaining to sale of alcohol, tobacco, and related items.
• Operate cash register, display costs, make change, issue receipts.
• Balance cash and media to ledger and ensure safe deposits.
• Implement security and cash drawer accounting procedures.
• Keep management informed of pricing or cash register issues.
• Maintain records on cash controls for internal audits.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
