Job summary

MGR Accounting Recruiters is partnering with an established automotive dealership to recruit an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and oversee the dealership's financial performance. This role is ideal for someone who understands the fast-paced dealership environment, focuses on deal funding and cash flow, and can guide a team to timely, accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Controller or senior-level dealership accounting management.
• Strong knowledge of deal funding, contracts in transit, and cash flow management.
• Understanding of dealership financial statements and floorplan accounting.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Accounting degree is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and dealership financial reporting.
• Manage and monitor deal funding, ensuring timely processing and follow-up of outstanding contracts.
• Oversee cash flow management, including cash forecasting and controls.
• Monitor contracts in transit (CIT), receivables, and outstanding funding.
• Manage month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee floorplan accounting, inventory reconciliations, and related financial activity.
• Partner with dealership leadership to improve processes, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and support accounting staff with accuracy and accountability.
