Job summary

Jena Choctaw Pines in United States, Louisiana seeks a Cash Handling Associate to safeguard casino assets by removing, exchanging, and accurately dropping cash boxes from slot machines, table games, and kiosks in line with policies and gaming regulations.

This role prepares for drops, transports funds to the Drop room, operates currency counting equipment, verifies balances, and maintains confidentiality while supporting a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year cashiering experience preferred.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age, with valid driver’s license and clean driving record; no felony or stealing convictions.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of basic math and operate a ten key adding machine.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check, obtain and maintain Gaming License.
• Tribal preference.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the casino for drop by placing empty cash boxes at each designated location.
• Removes cash boxes from designated machines, transports funds to the Drop room according to policies.
• Operates, troubleshoots and maintains currency sorting machines.
• Drops and straps currency, coins and tickets; prepares required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Verifies funds balance to totals and gives funds over to cage cashier.
• Assists patrons with general information upon request.
• Performs drop and Drop procedures in accordance with Gaming and Company Regulations and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies and procedures at all times.
• Safeguards company assets by keeping track of keys and security access cards.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
