Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is seeking a Back-End A/R and Collections Supervisor to lead the billing team within the Revenue Cycle Management unit that supports Colorado Mental Health Hospitals and related facilities. This role focuses on converting booked revenue to cash and managing uncollectible accounts across all sites.

The position requires eight years of relevant accounting or healthcare experience, strong supervisory skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of relevant experience in accounting or healthcare.
• A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in Accounting or Healthcare equal to eight (8) years.
• Familiar with Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage aging reports and monthly payer reconciliations across facilities.
• Oversee denial handling and ensure timely appeals (within 30 days when applicable).
• Supervise billing technicians: scheduling, performance reviews, and training.
• Ensure daily payment posting in BEHR and CORE systems with accuracy.
• Audit outside medical vouchers and CORE entries for compliance and proper signatures.
