Job summary

Lifepoint Health is hiring a Cash Collection/Payment Poster for an onsite role in Johnstown, PA. You will handle posting of payments, reconciling receipts, and updating patient accounts within the Epic system.

Ideal candidates have prior medical payment posting experience, EOB interpretation, and a strong eye for detail. This is a full-time onsite position with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Process and post incoming payments, reconcile receipts, and adjust patient accounts.
• Download and post all incoming patient and insurance payments daily.
• Post cash, denials, contractual, and patient portions accurately.
• Follow up with payors for payments when needed.
• Perform payment posting and 835 matching in Epic.
• Close and update daily payment batches.
• Ensure accurate transfer of patient balances to Epic.
• Research posting errors and correct batch balance discrepancies.
• Weekly allocation of deposits.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments for refunds.
• Ensure line-item adjustments at posting time.

Cash Collection/Payment Poster (Onsite)

Schedule: Days:Monday - Friday. Full time, 40hrs a week.

Job Location Type:Onsite at the Conemaugh facility in Johnstown, PA.

How you'll contribute

A payment poster who excels in this role:

• Responsible for processing and posting incoming payments, reconciling receipts, and adjusting patient accounts
• Responsible for downloading and posting all incoming patient and insurance payments daily
• Posting of cash, denials, contractual, and patient due portions correctly and compliantly
• Performs appropriate follow-up with payor for payment as appropriate
• Performs Payment Posting and Matching, 835 electronic payments matching in Epic
• Close and update daily payment batches
• Ensures accurate transfer of patient account balances to the Epic system
• Research for possible posting errors
• Reconcile and correct any fundamental batch balance inconsistencies accurately & timely manner
• Performs weekly allocation of deposits
• Identify underpayment and overpayment information to the appropriate Collector for follow-up accounts that require refunds
• Ensure line-item adjustments are performed at the time of payment posting

What we're looking for

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience: Prior medical payment posting experience, Epic experience (specifically payment posting workflows), EOB interpretation

Pay range: $17.66-22.08/hr pay based on experience. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
