Job summary

Cash-Wa is seeking a cashier for our Cash & Carry store in Nebraska. You will engage customers in person and over the phone, assist with product selection, and enter orders into the billing system. You may deliver to customers' cars and handle payments at the register.

This role requires strong customer service, basic computer skills, and reliability. Expect a 16.50 USD hourly wage and full-time hours Monday through Friday in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Register: scan items quickly and accurately; process payments (credit card and cash); handle voids and returns; assist with carrying products to customers' cars; open/close POS system and cash drawer.
• Customer Service: help customers find items and suggest purchases that fit their needs.
• Other duties as necessary: product placement, stocking, and maintaining store cleanliness and presentation.

Job description

This position works within our Cash & Carry store where you will work with customers on their orders for primarily food product purchases. This will require excellent customer service both in person and over the phone as you trouble shoot with customers on what they need and match with what we have available as you search for products in our computer system. Once confirmed, you will enter into the billing system, collect payment, and potentially help deliver to the customer's car. Products typically weigh up to 50 pounds, and can occasionally weigh more.

Wage: $16.50

Hours:

• Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm

Job Duties: (generally listed in order of responsibility)

• Register
  • Quickly and accurately scan items for customer purchase
  • Correctly do voids and returns as needed
  • Process payments to include credit card and cash, and ensuring the correct amounts are entered and change given
  • May assist customers with carrying products to their car
  • Opening and closing POS system/cash drawer
• Customer Service
  • Help customers find requested items
  • Assist with ideas for purchases that fit their needs
• Other duties as necessary
  • Product Placement: During down times will ensure that products are in the correct location, stocked, and front facing.
  • Store Cleanliness: During down times may sweep, pick up items, and generally ensure good store presentation
