Job summary

Soni is seeking an Assistant Cash Application Manager in Massachusetts to oversee daily cash application operations and support the team. You will ensure accurate application of customer payments and collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Billing, Treasury, and Credit & Collections to resolve issues.

You will also participate in month-end close, improve processes, and back up the Cash Application Manager as needed. Strong Excel and ERP skills required, with 4+ years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 4+ years of cash application, accounts receivable, or accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cash application, reconciliations, and accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cash application activities and staff.
• Ensure accurate application of customer payments (ACH, wires, checks, cards).
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, discrepancies, and reconciliation issues.
• Perform bank, cash, and AR reconciliations.
• Partner with internal teams and customers on payment concerns.
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, internal controls, and process improvements.
• Support system enhancements and backup to Cash Application Manager.
