Job summary

GreatAmerica is seeking a Cash Applications Leader to guide the Cash Team, oversee training, procedures, and technology, and partner with leaders across the organization to advance the function.

The role emphasizes coaching, process improvements, staffing, and performance monitoring to ensure timely cash applications and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years of directly related work experience.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills to serve as a role model for the team and GreatAmerica.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel with a working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and follow through skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Cash Team and oversee training, procedures, technology, hiring and succession planning.
  • Ensure team processes and performance align with Policies and Procedures.
  • Oversee timely cash applications for customers and monitor productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship; ensure coverage on all team duties and maintain documentation/backups.
  • Coordinate training for new hires and tenured team members; serve as liaison for Cash topics (e.g., third-party onboarding).
  • Partner with functional leaders on hiring and transformational projects affecting Cash Applications.

We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Cash Applications Team!

The Cash Leader is responsible for leading the Cash Team including overseeing all facets of training, procedure management, technology, hiring and succession planning. As a member of the leadership team, this individual is a strong role model for the GreatAmerica principles and the GreatAmerica Experience. The right candidate will have a vision for the Cash function and its role in the delivery of GreatAmerica’s mission, driving strategic initiatives that move the function toward that vision. They will foster strong working relationships with leaders at all levels of the organization and be proactive in addressing issues that impact their function.

As a Cash Applications Leader, you will:

  • Ensure team’s processes and performance is in accordance with Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in leadership routine review of Policies and Procedures as it relates to function
  • Oversees the process of administering timely cash applications for our customers
  • Leader in culture of quality overseeing team-owned quality checks
  • Monitor team performance including but not limited to productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Provide coaching and mentorship which includes, but is not limited to,
  • Oversees and ensures coverage on all team duties, tracking metrics on responsibilities and ensuring documentation and backup is in place
  • Challenges the team to continuously improve its process efficiency and performance effectiveness
  • One-on-ones to evaluate progress of position (goal setting, PDP reviews)
  • Coordination of training for new hires as well as tenured team members based on needs of the individual and client-specific processes
  • Serve as functional liaison for Cash related topics, including third-party partner onboardings
  • Partner with appropriate functional leaders on hiring process for filling open positions
  • Manage initiatives impacting Cash Applications, including but not limited to partnering with functional leaders on transformational projects, system enhancements, review of potential clients and strategic planning
  • Acts in accordance with GreatAmerica’s core values, serving as a role model and coach to others

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Education Requires a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years of directly related work experience
  • Experience Must possess strong leadership skills to serve as a role model for the team and GreatAmerica
  • Computer Skills Proficient with Microsoft Excel with a working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications required
  • Other Requirements Exceptional organizational, analytical and follow through skills are required
