Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join a Houston-based manufacturing and distribution team. You will manage cash postings, reconcile accounts, and collaborate with AR and credit teams to resolve discrepancies.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cash applications or AR, strong Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and ERP experience (JDE). This on-site role offers exposure to diverse customer accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cash application, AR, or related experience.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• ERP experience, particularly JDE, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply ACH, wire, check, and credit card payments accurately to customer accounts.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash.
• Reconcile customer accounts and use Excel to identify and correct out-of-balance transactions.
• Proactively research customer accounts and follow up for missing remittance information.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate cash application records and identify opportunities to improve processes.
