Job summary

Kemps in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, is seeking a Caseroom Associate for the 2pm to 10pm shift. You will unload, count, and manage returned product, while keeping bottling lines supplied and sanitized in a safe, cold environment.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Kemps offers strong benefits and opportunities within a DFA farmer-owned cooperative.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math using different units and measurements.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload and count cases, pallets and returned product accurately.
• Maintain accurate counts of cases/pallets on trailers.
• Keep bottling machines supplied with clean, sanitized cases.
• Operate case washer and related sanitizing equipment safely.
• Perform daily cleanup of equipment and surrounding area.

Description

SHIFT: 2pm to 10pm, Monday-Friday, some weekend overtime and weekend work may be required

WAGES FOR THIS ROLE: $27.71, After 1 year $30.75/hr

POSITION TASKS:

• Unload cases, pallets, return product, and remove unwanted items from returning truck trailers.
• Keep an accurate count of cases and pallets that return on the truck trailers.
• Keep the bottling machines supplied with clean and sanitized cases.
• Operate the case washer and related sanitizing equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform cleanup on the case washer and other cleaning / sanitizing equipment daily.

Requirements

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be ableto lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
