Job summary

Social Model Recovery Systems in Los Angeles is seeking a Counselor to perform core functions including screening, intake, assessment, orientation, counseling (individual, group, family), treatment planning, case management, and documentation.

You will maintain a primary caseload, develop and update treatment plans, ensure HIPAA and confidentiality, document services, assist with benefits applications, and collaborate with families and community partners to support resident recovery.

Qualifications

• Current SUD Counselor registration or eligibility for certification.
• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field or related licensure.
• Experience documenting services and developing treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Screening, intake, assessment, orientation, counseling (individual, group, family).
• Develop and evaluate treatment plans and update as needed.
• Maintain a primary caseload and advocate for residents' needs.
• Document services according to agency and regulatory standards.
• Assist with benefits applications (DPSS, SSI, Medi-Cal) and collaborate with families.
