Job summary

Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS) is seeking a Case Manager/Social Worker to coordinate care for clients in St. Louis, Missouri.

This full-time professional role focuses on safe, timely, effective, equitable and client-centered services, with opportunities for in-home or virtual counseling and education. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in social work or related field, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; two years' experience in child welfare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other Human Behavior Science.
• Candidate must be a licensed driver with access to dependable personal transportation and auto insurance.
• Two years’ experience in child welfare or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide care to clients that are safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered.
• Provide case management, counseling, parenting/education, and outreach services in home or virtually.
• Create a service plan with the client to establish goals aligned with client wishes.
• Counsel, advocate, and teach clients the skills identified in their service plan in person or virtually.
• Respond to client crises within program parameters and protocols.

Your Role:

• Coordinate and provide care to clients that are safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered.
• Provide case management, pregnancy counseling, parenting and adoption education, community education and outreach, and post-adoption support for birth parents.
• Create a service plan in conjunction with the client to develop goals and objectives that are consistent with what the client wishes to accomplish.
• Counsel, advocate, and teach clients the skills identified in their service plan face to face in home or virtually.
• Respond to client’s crisis situations within program parameters in a timely manner according to program protocols.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other Human Behavior Science.
• Candidate must be a licensed driver with access to dependable personal transportation and auto insurance
• Preferred Two years’ experience in child welfare, working with children and families.
