Job summary

Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS) in Missouri is seeking dedicated professionals to join a 158-year legacy of empowering children and families. You will coordinate and provide client-centered care that is safe, timely, effective, and equitable, across in-home or virtual settings.

The role covers case management, pregnancy counseling, parenting and adoption education, and community outreach, with service plans developed with clients to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other human-behavior field.
• Licensed driver with access to reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Preferred two years’ experience in child welfare.
• Passion for making a difference and supporting families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide care to clients that are safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered.
• Provide case management, pregnancy counseling, parenting and adoption education, community education and outreach, and post-adoption support for birth parents.
• Create a service plan in conjunction with the client to develop goals and objectives that are consistent with what the client wishes to accomplish.
• Counsel, advocate, and teach clients the skills identified in their service plan face to face in home or virtually.
• Respond to client’s crisis situations within program parameters in a timely manner according to program protocols.

What We’re Looking For:
