Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Case Manager to join our team in a fast-paced, on-site role. You will work closely with attorneys to develop settlements, prepare documents and manage client communications.

The ideal candidate is organized, empathetic and able to handle a varied caseload with minimal supervision. The position emphasizes teamwork, detailed documentation and proactive contact with clients, insurance carriers and medical providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience as Personal Injury Case Manager preferred.
• At least 2 years in a legal position or insurance adjuster preferred.
• Negotiating skills.
• Team player and follow procedures.
• Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies and medical providers.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Extensive computer and database expertise (Word, Excel, Outlook); type at least 35 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with clients via telephone and in person.
• Order medical records and communicate with clients/providers during treatment.
• Obtain documents to support injury/liability positions.
• Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and balances.
• Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and deduct balances with providers.
• Work with coworkers to manage case files and materials.
• Maintain organized case files and prepare demands for submission to carriers.
• Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required.
• Manage case files from intake to closing under attorney direction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
