Job summary

Muskegon County is seeking a Case Manager II to assess, plan, coordinate, monitor, and advocate for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders. The role includes crisis intervention, education, and on‑call services, with oversight of Case Manager I staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or eligible to graduate within 90 days of application.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing supports/services to persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities or substance use disorders.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide and/or arrange comprehensive community services for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or SUDs.
• Assess, treat, plan, coordinate, monitor, review and advocate for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and mental health education to consumers and families.
• Maintain agency documentation of services and participate in on-call services.
• Train, mentor, and provide oversight to Case Manager I staff.
