Job summary

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an IDD Service Coordinator to deliver trauma-informed care, skills training, and recovery planning to adults across Amarillo and the surrounding service area. This role is ideal for human services graduates seeking hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong computer and time-management skills, and a valid Texas driver's license; IDD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent time management, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Independently manage own caseloads.
  • Organize documents for assigned caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Employees may be required to utilize their personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA).

Salary: $40,809.60 – $ 46,009.60 / year (based on experience level I, II, or III)

Position Overview:

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an IDD Service Coordinator (1186) to deliver trauma-informed care, skills training, and recovery planning to adults (18+) across Amarillo and the surrounding service area of the Texas Panhandle. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
  • Travel within the top 21 counties of the Texas Panhandle to provide services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • Meet with IDD individuals on assigned caseload at least monthly to monitor services requested that may include day habilitation, training in the home to increase independence, transportation, respite, nursing, dental, and group home/host home.
  • Demonstrate compassion for individuals with IDD and advocate on their behalf when necessary to ensure overall safety, happiness, and well-being.
  • Participate in team meetings to develop Person Directed Plan (PDP) annually.
  • Link individuals with resources in the community to help them live in the community as independently as possible.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner according to program deadlines and company policies to comply with state regulations.
  • Utilize time management skills to manage caseloads independently.
  • Flex time as necessary and allowed by the supervisor to manage schedule independently.
  • Make lives better for individuals with IDD in both their homes and in the community.
  • Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Education & Credentials (Required):
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent time management, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Independently manage own caseloads.
  • Organize documents for assigned caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.

Experience Level Tiering:
  • Case Manager I ($40,809.60/yr): Entry Level – No experience required.
  • Case Manager II ($43,305.60/yr): Minimum 1 year of case management experience.
  • Case Manager III ($46,009.60/yr): Minimum 2 years of case management experience.
  • Graduate-level coursework in a related field may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with IDD individuals.
  • Experience with SmartCare EHR.
