Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in psychology, sociology, social work, or counseling.
  • For Case Manager II, 1 year of experience in behavioral health case management.
  • For Case Manager III, 2 years of experience in behavioral health case management.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Staff maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • Serve as a Skills Trainer Specialist for the Children’s Behavioral Health Department, covering Amarillo and regional areas as needed
  • Teach and role model skills that address community living, social, coping, problem solving, anger management, parenting and self-control skills to families and youth ages 3-18
  • Be trained in TRR approved curriculums that emphasize evidence-based practices to help improve daily functioning
  • Organize and provide culturally competent care activities and collaborate among all participants involved with the youth’s care
  • Additional duties may include assessment & treatment planning, working within the team to ensure appropriate services are delivered, engaging families by providing outreach and education, and taking a family & person-centered approach to identify strategies and objectives
  • Provide services via phone & face-to-face, in both home and community-based settings
  • Spend at least half of working time directly working with the youth, family, and/or family supports
  • Assist & collaborate with C&A BH Team in promoting skills development and covering Amarillo and regional areas throughout the Texas Panhandle
  • Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns if ethical and/or business standards are compromised
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field for QMHP credentialing
  • For Case Manager II, minimum one (1) year of experience in behavioral health case management
  • For Case Manager III, minimum two (2) years of experience in behavioral health case management
  • Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
  • Employees may be required to utilize personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA)
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
