Job summary

The Connection in Middletown, CT is hiring a Case Manager 1 to provide structured, client-centered case management and job development to justice-involved men re-entering the community. You will work within Adult Services, coordinating with Community Justice staff to help rehabilitate and guide clients from incarceration back into society.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with related experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable attendance.

Program Summary:

Connection House is a residential work release program that provides educational and addiction services to adult males with substance use issues who are preparing to exit the criminal justice system. The three main purposes of the program are to maintain healthy recovery, secure employment, and become productive citizens.

Position Summary:

The Case Manager 1 will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure, case management, job development and supervision to justice-involved men as they re-enter the community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice-involved. An ability to be both structured and compassionate while maintaining professional and respectful boundaries is required.

Working within Adult Services, the Case Manager 1 works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of related experience in the direct service and case management field or an Associate's Degree
• Valid driver's license
• Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
