Job summary

Churches United seeks a dedicated Case Manager to support residents at Micah’s Mission in Moorhead, MN. You will manage a caseload, coordinate meetings, and collaborate with the CEO, COO, Shelter Director, and Desk Lead to advance housing stability and reduce returns to shelter.

The ideal candidate is a Minnesota Licensed Social Worker or has a BSW, with 3–5 years in human services and nonprofit experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in human services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain caseload for residents at Micah’s Mission.

CU works to address the root cause of homelessness by increasing incomes and connecting guests to community services with a goal of increasing housing stability and preventing a return to shelter.**Key Responsibilities*** Maintain Case Manager Caseload* Oversee all Case Management within Churches United.* Coordinate and convene Case Management meetings.* Work closely with Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Shelter Director, and Shelter Desk Lead.* Follow Core Values and Mission of Churches United* Work with Chief Compliance Analytics Officer to ensure compliance with data, HMIS, CARES, etc.* Orient and Evaluate all Case Managers.* Network with other social service agencies in the community.* Any other duties as assigned or needed.**Competencies*** Excellent interpersonal and team skills; outstanding communications skills, written and oral.* Proficient in Microsoft Office products.* Demonstrated resourcefulness and good judgement.* Values diversity of thought, background, and perspective.* Sensitivity to individual/family struggles with homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, mental illness, and criminal records.* Vigilant attention to details with multi-task ability.* Integrity and ethics beyond reproach.* Critical thinking skills.* Harm Reduction.* De-escalation Skills.* Connection to Churches United for the Homeless mission and core values.## Qualifications**Supervisory Responsibility**Supervise all Case Managers within Churches United.**Work Environment**This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.**Physical Demands**This is largely a sedentary role and may require the ability to lift 20 pounds, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**This is a full-time position. Days and Hours of work are Monday-Friday. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.**Required Education and Experience**Required Minnesota Licensed Social Worker or bachelor’s in social work or similar degree. Three to five years of experience in human services.
