Company Description The Law Offices of Robert M. Cohen is a plaintiff-focused firm. Mr. Cohen has been practicing law for over 40 years and is AV rated. Working closely with Of Counsel and associated attorneys, the firm emphasizes responsiveness and clear communication to all --- especially clients. The practice represents injured individuals in matters ranging from serious personal injury and wrongful death to medical malpractice, defective products, and auto accidents.

Role Description The Case Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, with work-from-home flexibility. This role supports attorneys by managing personal injury and related cases from intake through resolution, including gathering client information, setting up files, and maintaining accurate case records. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and experts; tracking treatment progress; and organizing documentation such as medical records, bills, and incident reports and negotiating liens once the case is settled.

The Case Manager will assist with drafting demand letters and basic correspondence, preparing case summaries, and coordinating deadlines and follow-ups to ensure timely progression of claims.

Qualifications

  • Case management and administrative skills, including file organization, data entry, document handling, and deadline tracking.
  • Client service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with injured clients, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and research skills to review records, identify missing information, and support case development and documentation.
  • Writing skills for clear, concise correspondence, case summaries, and basic legal or insurance-related communications.
  • Proficiency with common office software and case management systems; comfort working in a hybrid environment with digital tools.
  • Prior experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or insurance claims is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple cases concurrently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or paralegal/legal assistant training is a plus.
