Case Managers provide services that are effective in reducing maltreatment, improving caretaking and coping skills, enhancing family resilience, supporting healthy and nurturing relationships, and children’s physical, mental, emotional, and educational wellbeing. Services are provided to individuals in their own homes and communities, who are involved with the department of child services. Services aim to help safely maintain children in their homes (or foster homes), prevent children’s initial placement or re-entry into foster care, preserve, support, and stabilize families, and promote the well-being of children, youth, and families. The services provided should be high quality, family-centered, and culturally competent.
