Case Managers provide services that are effective in reducing maltreatment, improving caretaking and coping skills, enhancing family resilience, supporting healthy and nurturing relationships, and children’s physical, mental, emotional, and educational well-being. Service is provided to individuals in their own homes and communities, who are involved with the Department of Child Services. Services are provided to help safely maintain children in their home (or foster home), prevent children’s initial placement or re-entry into foster care, preserve, support, and stabilize families, and promote the well-being of children, youth, and families. Services that are provided should be high quality, family centered, and culturally competent.
