Job summary

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Augusta seeks a Case Management Consultant to improve service delivery for Maine's disabled populations. The role emphasizes quality assurance, policy updates, and program collaboration.

The candidate will coordinate training, monitor compliance, and work with internal and external stakeholders to meet community needs. A social services background and LS W preferred are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent and professional experience in social services casework, social services program development/delivery, or social services related fiscal/budget administration/analysis work.
  • Preference given to those with a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) license as issued by the Maine State Board of Social Worker Licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and implementing quality assurance systems to monitor and assess case management and provide program recommendations.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and updating policies, procedures, resources, and agreements.
  • Evaluates and monitors community case management activities to ensure progress toward goals and document compliance and change.
  • Planning, coordinating, conducting, and assessing training activities.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify resources and meet the needs of disabled client populations.
  • Conducting on-site inspections and detailed records reviews of service providers to ensure services are implemented in compliance with applicable State and Federal laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

This is a full-time position located in Augusta. This opportunity allows for partial telework with management approval.

Core Responsibilities

As the Case Management Consultant, you will utilize your strong oral & written communication skills while working collaboratively with community members, internal colleagues, and external stakeholder groups. Position duties will include the following tasks:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing quality assurance systems to monitor and assess case management and provide program recommendations

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent and professional experience in social services casework, social services program development/delivery, or social services related fiscal/budget administration/analysis work.

Preference given to those with a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) license as issued by the Maine State Board of Social Worker Licensure.

Competencies
  1. A proven ability to interpret and apply technical standards and regulations.
  2. A thorough knowledge of Maine's service delivery system for older adults and adults with physical disabilities and the ability to oversee and manage an integrated system to improve services for these populations.
  3. A demonstrated ability to use program data to identify objectives, evaluate performance, and implement system changes.
