A prominent Texas-based personal injury law firm is seeking a Case Development Intake Attorney for its Corpus Christi office. This position involves early-stage case development, client interaction, evidence gathering, and coordinating medical and legal documentation. The attorney will manage approximately 50 pre-litigation cases in collaboration with a dedicated case manager and play a vital role in preparing files for litigation hand-off.
Manage a pre-litigation docket of approximately 50 cases
Investigate and develop new personal injury cases
Collect accident reports, property damage documentation, and witness statements
Conduct background, criminal, and social media investigations
Draft and send letters of representation and open records requests
Assist clients in medical documentation and property damage claims
Communicate with clients and insurance adjusters
Prepare monthly client status reports and internal case reviews
Draft preliminary demands and facilitate early case resolutions
Perform new client sign-ups (in-office, remotely, or in the field as needed)
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours client intake
Supervise and collaborate with assigned case manager
0–3 years of personal injury experience preferred
Previous experience supervising non-attorney staff is a plus
Customer service or sales experience highly valued
Willingness to travel locally and participate in after-hours intake rotation
Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional ethics
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Texas
Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in legal research and case evaluation
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines
High emotional intelligence and client empathy
Ability to energize and manage a support team
