Job description

Pacific Life is seeking a talented Case Design Specialist to join our New Business Case Design Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. The role is hybrid, requiring office presence once per week.

The case design specialist will provide best‑in‑class service, support, and training to internal and external customers through innovative solutions, technical expertise, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide case design and illustration software support by answering phone calls and responding to email requests related to products, concepts, and software.
• Provide consultative case design assistance by aligning requesters’ goals with appropriate products, riders, and features.
• Generate and send accurate new‑business illustrations within the specified time frame.
• Research and resolve a wide variety of requests/inquiries related to products, concepts, and software.
• Promote and support marketing campaign initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and analyze software to determine validity of issues.
• Provide end user testing of illustration software.
• Provide case design training support.
• Work collaboratively with a team of 8 within the Consumer Markets Division.

Qualifications

• FINRA Series 6, 63, and SIE licenses, and a Life license required within 180 days of start.
• 1–2+ years of life insurance industry experience with running illustrations and knowledge in case design.
• Knowledge of Pacific Life suite of products and advanced concepts such as Executive Bonus, Premium Finance, Non‑Qualified Deferred Compensation, and Split Dollar.
• Strong user of Pacific Life’s illustration software.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills for contact with field representatives and internal personnel.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced teamwork environment.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Compensation

Base pay range: $30.47 – $37.24 per hour. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Eligible for additional incentive pay.
