Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SAFETY in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Case Aide-Records Assistant to support case management and documentation efforts. The role involves assisting Case Managers, handling electronic records, and preparing court documents for hearings.

As part of the team, you will supervise visits, transport clients when needed, and perform clerical duties while following safety and confidentiality guidelines. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Experience with case records or clerical tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support children and families under the direction of a Case Manager.
  • Document management of electronic case records.
  • Prepare, redact, and manage court documents, disclosures, and case packets.
  • Supervise parent–child visits and participate in meetings or client hearings.
  • Transport clients and ensure proper use of child safety seats.
  • Provide general case management and clerical support.

If you're passionate about working with children and families, becoming a Case Aide-Records Assistant at DCS can be a life-changing experience. After four years of successful service, you’ll also be eligible for promotion to the DCS Specialist Trainee position ($21.70 per hour).

What You’ll Do

  • Support children and families under the direction of a Case Manager
  • Document Management of electronic case records
  • Prepare, redact, and manage court documents, disclosures, and case packets
  • Supervise parent-child visits
  • Participate in a variety of meetings and/or client hearings
  • Transport clients and ensure proper use of child safety seats
  • Provide general case management and clerical support

You may also be required to work outside of regular hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Can:

  • Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships
  • Communicate with compassion, professionalism, and discretion in sensitive situations
  • Use attention to detail when completing clerical tasks
  • Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, digital calendars, video conferencing, and mobile technology to document and coordinate work

What We Need From You (Required Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory 39 month driving record
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, and the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
