City of San Antonio is seeking a part-time outreach support role based in San Antonio Head Start at 1227 Brady Blvd. The position involves assisting with referrals, presenting to community groups about assistance programs, coordinating outreach events, and helping families complete applications.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3 years in social services, and a valid Texas driver's license. Bilingual in Spanish and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.
Under general direction, is responsible for assisting with the simpler aspects of cases. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment but may be required to work outside in all types of weather conditions for extended periods of time and occasional exposure to hazardous materials, bodily fluids, infectious diseases and unfavorable fumes, vapors and odors. Exercises no supervision. This position is a "grant funded" position, therefore unclassified and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.
