Wright County is seeking a Case Aide (CPS) to support the Child Protection Team within Social Services. The role involves interviewing clients, determining eligibility, performing assessments, coordinating with schools and community partners, and maintaining records and reports in a county office setting.
In addition to client-facing duties, the position supports emergency preparedness activities and inventory management for program supplies. A valid driver’s license is required upon hire.

This Case Aide position is in the Child Protection Team of Social Services. Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work assisting in the administration of County, State, and Federal social services, financial services, and public health programs. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Unit Supervisor. This position may be assigned to specialized functions within Health and Human Services Department.
Hiring pay range is $26.61/hr. - $29.80/hr. depending on qualifications and direct work experience. Please note this position is in-office work setting.
Minimum Qualifications & Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or GED and three years of experience in a clerical or direct client care position, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates/Technical degree is preferred.
A valid driver’s license or evidence of equivalent mobility is also required upon hire.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, interpret and apply laws and regulations related to State and Federal Human Services programs; knowledge of, or ability to learn, computer systems and programs used to administer Division Human Service programs; knowledge of, or ability to learn, County government work flows and processes; skill in the use of standard office equipment, including computers and software programs; verbal and written communication skills sufficient to effectively present information and respond to questions from a wide variety of audiences; reading comprehension skills sufficient to read, understand and interpret technical and legal documents; interpersonal skills sufficient to exchange and or convey information, receive work direction, and maintain effective working relationships; ability to perform data entry into various databases; ability to effectively organize time and anticipate, plan and successfully respond to changing circumstances; ability to perform all job duties in compliance with safety guidelines and with an ongoing awareness of safety practices; ability to communicate courteously and professionally while maintaining positive working relationships with others when carrying out all job functions.
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires sitting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions; exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; exposure to considerable mental effort and stress; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
