Job summary

McLeod County is seeking a Case Aide to provide paraprofessional social services under the supervision of social workers and a social service supervisor. The role focuses on APS intake support, documentation, and coordinating services for Vulnerable Adults.

Qualifications

  • Three years clerical experience and/or experience working with the public.
  • Or two years of clerical experience in a social service/human services agency.
  • Or two years of experience as a community service aide or similar in a nonprofit or public agency.
  • Or two years of study at an accredited college/university with emphasis in behavioral sciences (23 quarter credits or 16 semester credits)

Responsibilities

  • Complete documentation and follow-up to APS screenings.
  • Manage SSIS records for APS Intake and Maltreatment workgroups.
  • Coordinate supportive services for Vulnerable Adults with APS Social Workers.
  • Assist with documentation as requested by APS Social Workers.
  • Schedule, remind and set agendas for MCAP meetings in consultation with APS Social Workers.
  • Assist in managing other APS and Assessor team related work.
  • Complete required training and/or other job-related training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job description

The Case Aide performs a variety of tasks related to the rendering of appropriate paraprofessional social services and related work as assigned. Work is performed under the day-to-day direction of social workers and oversight of a social service supervisor.

Supplemental:
  • The 2026 salary range for this position is $20.66 to $30.99 per hour depending on experience.
    • Relevant previous experience will be taken into consideration.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Position Duties
  • Complete documentation and other activities in follow-up to Adult Protection Services (APS) screenings.
  • Manage SSIS records related to all APS Intake and Maltreatment workgroups
  • Work closely with APS Social Workers to assist with coordinating supportive services for Vulnerable Adults
  • Assist with documentation as requested by APS Social Workers
  • Manage, in consultation with APS Social Workers, the scheduling, reminders and agendas for McLeod County Adult Protection Team (MCAP) meetings
  • Assist in managing other work related to the APS and Assessor teams
  • Complete training as required and/or other job-related training opportunities
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Three (3) years of successful clerical experience and/or experience working with the public, or the
  • Or two (2) years of successful clerical experience in a social service/human services agency;
  • Or two (2) years of experience as a community service aide or similar experience in a private non- profit agency or other public agency;
  • Or two (2) years of study at an accredited two (2) or four (4) year college/university or similar institution, with emphasis in the behavioral sciences (at least 23 quarter credits or 16 semester credits)
