Job summary

Rising Ground, Inc. is seeking a Case Aide in New York, NY. This full-time hybrid role supports casework in the Enhanced Family Foster Care Program, including transportation, home visits, and facilitating connections to services.

Responsibilities include assisting with information gathering, office duties, and ensuring a safe on-site environment. Requires an Associate degree (or comparable) and a valid NYS driver license, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree strongly preferred with minimum two years of prior Office Assistant experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED with prior experience in child welfare will be considered.
  • Valid NYS Driver License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with locating information regarding parents, families, and community resources for case planners.
  • Follows through on case-aide assignments, including home visits and accompanying children to service providers.
  • Performs office administrative tasks such as processing letters, mailings, and serving as receptionist.
  • Maintains an orderly, safe, and informative on-site environment for children and parents.
  • Reports hazards and observations suggesting abuse, neglect, or exploitation to supervisors.
  • Willing to travel to Rising Ground sites as required.

Case Aide

Salary: $46,088.44 Annually

Overview

Case Aide performs various supportive activities for casework services in support of the needs of the Enhanced Family Foster Care Program. Duties may include “support activities” such as collecting information or investigating situations to obtain information about family situations; directly assisting children and family members in various ways, e.g., providing transportation, arranging home visits, accompanying children to service providers, participating in and reporting observations and findings at case conferences. Work is performed under the supervision of a Case Work Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists with locating information regarding parents/families and resources in the community and communicates information to case planners.
  • Follows through on-case aide-related assignments, i.e., make home visits when approved by the Case Work Supervisor, help supervise child-family contact visits. Accompany children to service providers.
  • Assist with office administrative tasks including placement modules in Connections, processing letters and other mailings, serving as a receptionist.
  • Assists in maintaining an orderly, safe, and informative on-site environment for children and parents.
  • Promptly reports hazards and all observations suggesting suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children to the appropriate individual.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Performs related and similar duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree is strongly preferred plus a minimum of two years of prior experience as an Office Assistant.
  • High School Degree or GED equivalent also considered with prior experience in child welfare environment.
  • Valid NYS Driver License

This is a full-time Hybrid position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
