Job summary

Safran in Marysville, WA is seeking entry-level manufacturing, production, and general labor team members to join our aerospace manufacturing operations. No prior aerospace experience required; on-the-job training is provided to help you grow your skills and contribute to final assembly processes.

You will work in a controlled contamination area, follow work instructions and specifications, and help organize, layup, and verify material prep for cascades and reverse thrusters, ensuring quality

Responsibilities

• Documents how many Plies of backing are removed from raw materials
• Records PSI and curing cycles for materials
• Records materials used in the build
• Finalizes the layup build of the Cascade by organizing mandrels and ensuring correct heights
• Performs raw material layup on surfaces per XRMY 13-530 and MSC636-1

Work in a CCA (Controlled Contamination Area) to process various carbon materials related to the final assembly of reverse thrusters (Cascades). Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, and work orders.

Documents how many Plies of backing are removed from raw materials, How long and at what PSI raw materials are compacted at, properly records mandrel cure cycles, Records what LM and LM units are used for each cascade build, records when and at what temperature frekote (mold release) was applied to LM surface, properly records all raw materials used in the build, and properly records EUR of all raw materials.

Finalizes the layup build of the Cascade by:

• Organizing mandrels into rows in sequential order per XRMY 13-530 and MSC636-1
• Properly compacts rows per XRMY 13-530 and MSC636-1
• Ensures strong backs are at correct height per XRMY 13-530 and MSC636-1
• Performs raw material layup on the surface of strong backs and tool surface per XRMY 13-530 and MSC636-1
