A leading university is seeking a part-time Technical Studies Adjunct Instructor to engage students in classroom and lab settings using the NCCER curriculum. The role involves hands-on instruction to prepare students for careers in the electrical field, requiring significant field experience and relevant certifications.
Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University's mission of Training Champions for Christ. It is expected that an adjunct member models a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engages in an active commitment to, and experience of, personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview. Adjuncts should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end. They should strive to employ a variety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and, insofar as it is possible, provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests.
The Technical Studies Adjunct Instructor is a part-time position. The instructor will engage students with classroom and lab instruction using the NCCER curriculum. Lab activities must be per curriculum requirements, but most importantly, hands-on activities need to prepare students for a career in the electrical field. This position will require in-person work at an off-campus instructional site in Altavista, VA. Instructors must maintain communication with students.

Supervising lab assistants, where applicable.
The Technical Studies Instructor must have a minimum of four years of field experience and possess a journeyman's electrical license. The applicant's resume must demonstrate this experience, reflecting both residential and commercial work. Industry-recognized licenses or certifications must be provided. A college degree is preferred.
This position involves working in environments similar to fieldwork, including uncontrolled climates, loud areas, and hazardous conditions.
