The Technical Studies Adjunct Instructor is a part-time position responsible for classroom and lab instruction using the NCCER curriculum, preparing students for careers in carpentry through hands-on activities. This role requires in-person work at an off-campus site in Altavista, VA, with ongoing communication with students.
The candidate must have at least four years of field experience as a carpenter, with demonstrated experience in residential and commercial work. Industry-recognized licenses or certifications are required. A degree and/or related licenses or certificates are preferred.
The role involves working in environments similar to fieldwork, including uncontrolled climates, noisy areas, and hazardous conditions.
