Job summary

White Glove Placement New York is seeking a CAS Assessor to conduct comprehensive assessments for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will work independently, traveling within the assigned region to ensure individuals receive the supports they need.

Position is full-time in Brooklyn, NY, with a pay rate of $27.00 per hour and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems.
  • Valid New York State driver’s license or government-issued NYS ID.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
  • Availability to work weekends when needed.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
  • Work independently and document findings to support services and supports.
  • Engage with individuals, families, caregivers, direct support staff, and healthcare professionals to gather information and plan supports.

As a CAS Assessor, you'll conduct comprehensive assessments for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings while working independently and making a meaningful impact across New York.

Position Overview
  • Position: CAS Assessor (OPWDD)

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Location: Brooklyn, NY

  • Work Setting: Home and Community-Based Assessments

  • Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

  • Weekend Availability: Required as needed

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the approved disciplines listed below.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a setting primarily serving the I/DD population.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems.

  • Valid New York State driver's license or government-issued NYS ID.

  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.

  • Availability to work weekends when needed.

  • Proof of degree (diploma or official proof of completion) is required.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
