Job summary

Leidos in Springfield, VA is seeking a Foundation Data Specialist to support the production and QA of Foundation Data used in map and chart production across multiple scales.

The role requires strong GIS knowledge, experience with ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro and MAXAR, and ability to develop SOPs, training materials, and ensure ITAR compliance for partner interactions. Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4–8 years of experience, or Master’s with 2–6 years.
• At least 5 combined points experience as defined by the customer.
• 1–3 years of experience with ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro/MAXAR.
• 1–3 years of experience performing foundation data reviews.
• 1–3 years of foundation data quality control/QA using GAIT/QAC.
• Understanding of foundation data methodologies and ability to produce foundation data products.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review national and international Foundation Data for map/chart production at various scales.
• Analyze and evaluate Foundation Data for QA including coverage, accuracy, currency, completeness, and applicability to mission and data requirements.
• Engage with Government and partner personnel at facilities, partner locations, and virtual collaboration environments worldwide.
• Develop SOPs, training guides, document best practices, and train team members.
• Maintain ITAR exemption for all partner interactions.
