Job summary

Leidos in Springfield, VA is seeking a Foundation Data Specialist to support production and QA of Foundation Data used in map and chart creation across scales. The role requires GIS knowledge to ensure geospatial data is accurate, current, and mission-ready.

Responsibilities include producing and reviewing data, QA analysis with GAIT/QAC software, SOP development, and collaboration with Government and partner staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 4–8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 2–6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 combined points experience as defined by the customer.
• 1–3 years demonstrated experience performing data extraction and imagery analysis using ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro/MAXAR.
• 1–3 years demonstrated experience completing timely and accurate foundation data reviews.
• 1–3 years demonstrated experience performing foundation data quality control/quality assurance analysis using GAIT/QAC software.
• Demonstrated experience understanding of and application of foundation data methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience to produce foundation data products.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review national and international Foundation Data supporting map and chart production at various scales.
• Analyze and evaluate Foundation Data for quality assurance, including coverage, accuracy, currency, completeness, and applicability to mission and data requirements.
• Participate in technical exchanges with Government and partner personnel at Government facilities, partner locations, and virtual collaboration environments worldwide.
• Support Foundation Data production by developing SOPs, creating training guides, documenting best practices, and training team members.
• Ensure a current and accurate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) exemption is maintained for all requested support involving partner interactions.
