Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member for our store. This part-time role involves supporting various retail tasks and delivering above-and-beyond service to customers. Weekend availability is required with open availability preferred.

You will engage in customer interactions, assist with cart recovery, cleaning, and basic store operations while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure smooth store performance.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role in a Meijer store.
• Strong organization and detail orientation are preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist cart attendants by returning carts to the store.
• Help with parking lot and store trash collection.
• Operate snow removal equipment when needed.
• Assist with salvage returns and basic store cleaning.
• Support service desk, entrance, lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate across departments such as Health and Beauty, Hardlines, Fashion, Pets, Hardware, Seasonal.

Part-Time, Weekend Availability Required (Open Availability Preferred)

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
