Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member for part-time weekend availability. You will gain exposure to diverse retail tasks across store operations and customer service, with opportunities for growth within the Meijer family.

Team members help with carts, cleaning, stocking, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure a positive shopping experience. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level retail role requiring organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced store environment.
• Experience working with customers and teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Clear parking lot, lawn, and inside-store trash.
• Operate snow removal equipment for snow clearance.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrances, lanes and parking areas.
• Coordinate with departments across the store on various tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Part-Time, Weekend Availability Required (Open Availability Preferred)

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what 'above and beyond' customer service means.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
