Job summary

Meijer is seeking a cart attendant to support store operations and customer service. You will ferry shopping carts from outside the store to interior areas and assist with parking lot maintenance, trash collection, and cleaning tasks.

The role requires physical activity, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and collaboration with various store departments.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Coordinate with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
