Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member in Lima, OH to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to store services, inventory and customer interactions.

You will help with cart handling, trash collection, snow removal, and basic cleaning to keep the store welcoming. The role involves coordinating with service desks and departments, performing light duties across areas like Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, and Seasonal, and may include other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Work with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
