Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to services provided by our store, product and customer service areas. As a cart attendant, you will shuttle carts, help with parking lot upkeep, and assist with snow removal, cleaning, and returns.

The role involves interacting with customers and collaborating with multiple store departments to ensure smooth operations and above-and-beyond service.

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to clear walkways.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns as needed.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Work with departments such as Health & Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal & Floral.
