Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across store operations, product and customer service. You will interact with customers and support departments to maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities include cart relocation, lot and store cleanliness, snow removal, handling perishables and salvage returns, and assisting at service desk and check lanes. Flexibility for other duties is expected.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Work with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
