Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/janitorial team member to keep the club clean, safe and welcoming for members and teammates. You will perform general maintenance, cleaning duties, cart gathering, and outdoor area upkeep to support a high standard of sanitation and store operations.

With a focus on reliability, safety and teamwork, you will help maintain club policies, operate equipment, and assist in daily tasks across departments.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and assistance. Maintains high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all areas of the club including the sales floor, offices, restrooms and the outdoor grounds and parking lot.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance. Removes any trash or debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
• Performs maintenance and cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and washing glass.
• Operates basic cleaning equipment and ensures supply areas are organized.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
