Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a range of retail tasks across store operations, product handling, and customer service. Team members embody the Meijer standard of going above and beyond in service, interacting with customers and supporting daily store activities.

You will support cart duties, trash collection, cleanliness, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning. Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Coordinate with departments like Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
