Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across services, products, and customer service. You will interact with customers and contribute to a high standard of service that goes above and beyond expectations.

The role involves cart retrieval, trash coordination, basic cleaning, and collaboration with multiple store departments. A fast-paced environment requires good listening and organizational skills and physical capability.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment where needed.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Collaborate with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal & Floral teams.
