Job summary

Town of Smyrna is seeking a Cart Attendant for the Smyrna Golf Course. This part-time position maintains golf carts, performs cleaning and light maintenance, and supports course operations.

You must be at least 16 and hold a Tennessee Driver's License. The role includes duties such as staging carts, cleaning facilities, stocking ball machines, and closing procedures to secure the cart barn and course.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Drives and stages carts in the cart staging area.
• Cleans (wash and wipe down) and remove all trash from carts daily and as returned to cart staging area after completion of play.
• Periodically check carts for appropriate level of gas.
• Cleans inside and outside of clubhouse by vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, washing, shoveling, or any other methods necessary.
• Picks up trash as needed and empties garbage cans on a regular basis.
• Removes trash, duties in locker room.
• Removes golf balls from range as needed; washes range balls;
• Stocks ball machine.
• Keeps cart barn clean and orderly at all times.
• Lists any cart damage or operational problems on the board in the cart barn, tags cart, and reports this information to the golf shop.
• Ensures that all carts are accounted for nightly.
• Unlocks and locks on-course bathrooms on a daily basis.
• Locks and secures cart barn and course gates during closing procedures; sets the alarm before leaving.

Job description

Cart Attendant (part-time) pays $16.09/hr.

In addition to base salary, this PART-TIME position is eligible for an annual performance bonus as well as a longevity bonus.

Description

This classification is responsible for maintaining golf carts for the Smyrna Golf Course as well as various upkeep responsibilities on the Course. Duties and responsibilities include staging carts for customer use; wash, remove trash and perform simple maintenance on carts; clean cart storage area. Reports to Director of Golf.

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, management reserves the right to revise the job. Other duties may be required and assigned.
