Job summary

ShopRite of Waretown in New Jersey is hiring a CSA/Carts Clerk to deliver a great customer experience and assist shoppers with groceries. The role focuses on efficient cart handling, friendly service, and maintaining a clean store area.

The position requires standing for extended periods, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and a willingness to work flexible hours. Training and safety protocols are emphasized.

Qualifications

• The minimum required qualifications include reading, writing, speaking English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow attendance policies.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Collect empty shopping carts and return them to their proper place.
• Remove debris from carts and ensure carts are safe to use.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per Company policy.
• Comply with QA hand washing standards and wear disposable gloves when handling food.
• Perform duties per ShopRite Service Priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, Efficiency.
